About Us

Faithful Companions Pet Remembrance Service provides cremation and burial options for your pet companion. Michael Lensing and Vicki Lensing opened Faithful Companions in October 2008 because they foresaw the need for a professionally trained staff and facility that specialized in the respectful and dignified final disposition of your pet. Faithful Companions is the first privately owned on-site pet crematory in Johnson County. The service provides for the cremation or burial of companion animals, such as the family dog or cat, birds and pocket pets.

Faithful Companions specializes in private cremation, which means that only one pet is placed in the cremation chamber at the time of the cremation process. This is the same manner in which humans are cremated and assures the return of only your pet's cremated remains. Communal cremation is also offered. Communal cremation is when a group of pets are cremated together. The remains of all the pets are then scattered at a designated area by the staff of Faithful Companions.

Our staff is available to take your call 24 hours a day to care for the needs of anyone who has experienced a loss. As pet owners or pet parents ourselves, we have experienced the personal loss of losing a pet. Your pet is a family member. At Faithful Companions your pet is treated in the same manner that we would treat a human, with respect and compassion. Our staff will transfer your pet to our facility in Coralville, or you may wish to bring your pet in yourself. We encourage your inspection of our facility at any time.
